Due to COVID-19, the Pierce County Livestock Committee will be holding a 4-H & FFA Livestock sale with us through an Online Auction! This still gives the youth the ability to present their hard work in a "safer" manner and continue with traditions. Hines Auction Service, Inc and The First National Bank of River Falls are excited to help support the youth of Pierce County Livestock Project! There will be NO BUYERS FEE & NO COMMISSION charged to the 4-H/FFA Families. All final bids will go 100% to the youth who are showing the livestock. PLEASE READ ALL TERMS SO YOU ARE READY WHEN THE SALE BEGINS!

If you are looking for farm fresh animals please look at these options on the auction. Processing spots have been secured for mid-August and sellers will be responsible for moving all purchased animals to local processors for the buyer.

Why should I purchase at a local Fair 4-H/FFA Livestock Sale?

  • It is a great way to show your support of youth and our local economy.

  • Buying an animal is a great way to promote your business.

  • Members select high quality, locally grown animals for their project and maintain that quality until it reaches the finished product.

  • Members are required to complete quality assurance training annually, ensuring their knowledge and performance of safe production practices.

  • As a buyer, you will have control of how your meat is processed, cut, and wrapped.

  • The difference between the purchase price and the market value of the animal may be tax deductible.

  • While there may be a small surplus cost, it’s worth the extra cost if you consider the safety issues as well as the benefits to the local economy and to local 4-H and FFA youth.

Purchasing an animal on our Auction:

We offer two options for purchasing an animal. The Traditional way - this is where you buy the animal & have the meat processed at one of the local meat Lockers that have saved room for us to deliver animals after the Fair, (processing is paid separately to the locker ) or we also offer a Premium purchase option - where the buyer pays the amount over market price and the animal is returned to the exhibitor and not sent in for processing. Auction reserve price is set at current market price.
