Jack and Jeff Hines from Hines Auction Service recently announced they’ve expanded their online auction services and therefore will be using the former MDMA site, located outside of Ellsworth, as a store room. “The facility will provide us with plenty of storage,” Jack Hines said, as items such as vehicles, tools, farm machinery, highway equipment, household collectibles and coins will be stored there. He explained the move was needed, as the business does 150 online auctions a year. “We’re expanding into the new technological era,” he said. Hines, who has been an auctioneer for 55 years, has taught auction school for 43 of those at Denver and Mason City, Ia. He also mentioned Hines Auction Service became a member of MarkNet Alliance, a national membership-based network of auction companies whose mission is to allow members to cooperate with other member auctioneers across the country. A link for MarkNet is available on Hines’ website: www.hinesauctionservice.com. For additional information, e-mail hinesauction@sbcglobal.net or call (715) 273-3377.
